Can anyone join a vanpool?
Yes, many vanpools exist that are open to all commuters. However, there are some vanpools that are only for the employees of one company. Contact VPSI, Inc. to see if there is a vanpool operating in your neighborhood.

Is there discounted parking for vanpools in downtown Minneapolis?
Yes. Vanpools with at least five riders park for FREE at the ABC Ramps. Vanpool drivers are also exempt from the drop-off rule and may drop passengers off before parking.
Do you have to own a van to start a vanpool?
No, there is the option to lease a commuter van. Leasing a van has advantages - no extra maintenance costs, no wear and tear on a personal vehicle, and use of the van on the weekends for the driver.

What is the Guaranteed Ride Home program?
The Guaranteed Ride Home program is for people who bus, bike, walk, ride rail transit or pool to work at least 3 days per week. Joining is free, and you'll receive 2 vouchers every six months, each valid for a free bus/rail ride home or worth $25 reimbursement for a cab ride, in case of an emergency.
